LUMIO (nom d'un village corse signifiant village de lumière) est un de ces projets rares – hors du temps et des modes – qui, à peine écoutés, nous semblent déjà essentiels. Lumineux et se distinguant parmi la production actuelle.
Un projet. Une vision. Un chant du cygne qui devient l'arbre des possibles, en dix titres comme autant de tranches de vie intimes à travers lesquels LUMIO tente d'interpeller par sa pop philosophique.
Derrière ce projet, Niko Gamet*, un artiste habité, biberonné de pop anglaise et de folk américaine. Une voix à la John Martyn, Joe Cocker, Fink. Des réminiscences Beatles, Peter Gabriel, Tom Waits et autres références.

Biographie
Musicien, auteur, compositeur, interprète, Niko Gamet créa le power trio Mok (2 albums chez Hacienda Records et plus de 200 concerts) dont il fut le batteur/chanteur, avant de s'affirmer comme musicien de studio et d'accompagnement pour bon nombre d'artistes, assurant de notables premières parties (Nada Surf, Richie Haven, John Butler Trio, Luke, Deportivo, Mei Tei Show, Blankass, Dyonisos...) sur des scènes prestigieuses (Francofolies, Olympia, Théâtre Antique de Vienne et de Fourvière...).
Niko Gamet a publié deux albums sous son nom, « Le signe du coeur » en 2014 et « Leaving Tomorrow » en 2016 www.nikogamet.fr ( voir clip + videos lives) , il compose et arrange toujours pour d'autres artistes (Joris, Monsieur timide, Ginger Moon., Dalé ..) et joue en tournée internationale dans le groupe rock Lord Ruby. et le groupe blues rock de NICO CHONA and the Freshtones.
Récemment il intègre le groupe de funk rock Joel (www.facebook.com/JOELMUSICBAND) en tant que chanteur qui sortira également son album courant 2022, ainsi que le projet de Nico Sarro.
Avec Road & Rose, premier single extrait de l'album staring at the sun, il écrit, réalise aujourd'hui son premier clip (primé au Venice/Milano short movie award).

An interestingly shaped track that is uniquely arranged. There are splendid elements of the folk soundscape. The slow tempo is in keeping with the thought-provoking nature of the track. The artist conveys the illustrative lyrics with passion and conviction.
WOW! Very forward-thinking track. Like Grizzly Bear meets Radiohead. This is the kind of track you just close your eyes and go to another world. Thank you for your creativity! Great vocal expression and i liked the instrumentation. Bass sounded full and drums were engaging.
